La performance Afternoon Tea de Fait Maison était  présentée le 9 oct. 2021 dans les espaces de La Filature dans le cadre de (Ré)agir pour PERF,  la troisiême édition de la biennale PERF, organisée par AXENÉO7. 

Cet événement d’art performance revisite la tradition accueillante et conviviale de l’afternoon tea pour mettre en lumière certaines influences qui ont construit ce rituel du quotidien. Derrière son apparente légèreté faite de sandwichs aux concombres et de petits fours, l’afternoon tea permet une critique de la lutte des classes et du colonialisme. Cette rencontre d’après-midi rassemble artistes, performeurs et participants pour révéler des machinations derrière l’afternoon tea.

of the performance biennial PERF, organized by AXENÉO7.

You are invited for Afternoon Tea! This performance event reconsiders the tradition of afternoon tea to make visible some of the influences and structures that shape this seemingly mundane ritual. While we might associate afternoon tea with crustless cucumber sandwiches and petit fours, it also provides a platform and unique opportunity for a critique of colonialism and class structures. This afternoon event brings together artists, performers and participants to draw attention to the machinations of afternoon tea.
